With almost 8 weeks left in the school year, I encourage each student to remain focused on their learning in the classroom and diligently complete assignments to reinforce that learning. Now is the time to refocus your study skills and prioritize learning one new thing every day.

As we embrace the renewal and growth that spring brings, remember that "Spring is a time of plans and projects." Let this season inspire you to achieve your academic goals and strive for success.

Wishing you all a productive and inspiring week ahead!
Warm regards,
Dr. Marian Leverette

Trojan’s Head to West Point for a Summer STEM Workshop

Each summer, middle and high school students from across the United States are invited to attend a week-long hands-on STEM workshop at West Point. The overarching goal is to increase interest in STEM through inquiry-based projects, develop and reinforce student science, math, and problem-solving skills that are prerequisites for success in high school and college, and motivate students from under-resourced, geographical locations to aspire to pursue STEM courses in high school and envision themselves in STEM careers. This year, we have three ambassadors from Ankara who have applied and been accepted to participate in this workshop at West Point.

Students Invited to West Point Stem

During these workshops, our Trojans will explore the Academy grounds, experience cadet life, and participate in a variety of hands-on STEM activities. Workshop topics include human physiology, fuel cell cars, propellants, robotics, cantilevers, soldering circuits, fish biodiversity, water chemistry, meteorology, egg drop engineering, data analytics, and more.  All three are excited to travel to the USA and learn about new career paths for their future. We are excited for them.
