Ankara EHS Fall Festival: A Celebration of Community and Culture
The Ankara Elementary High School Fall Festival was a resounding success, bringing together students, families, and staff for a day filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. Organized by our dedicated PTSA, teachers, and personnel from the 717th Air Base Squadron, the event highlighted the rich diversity of our school community and the strong partnerships that make Ankara EHS a vibrant place to learn and grow.

The DECA commissary played a pivotal role in the festival, generously donating candy and treats that delighted attendees of all ages. With a variety of games, face painting, and a costume parade, there was something for everyone to enjoy. A particularly popular attraction was the haunted house, built and run by the airmen of the 717th ABS, which provided thrilling scares and laughter for our brave students.
One of the festival's highlights was the Trunk or Treat, an exciting opportunity for many families and students to experience trick-or-treating for the first time. For some, this was a cherished tradition not typically celebrated in their home countries, making it a special moment of cultural exchange and community bonding.
Families from over 20 different countries came together to enjoy the crisp, cool fall weather and share in the festive atmosphere. The event not only fostered a sense of belonging but also celebrated the diverse backgrounds of our student body.
The Ankara EHS Fall Festival was more than just a fun day; it was a testament to the strength of our community and the shared experiences that enrich our school environment. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a memorable occasion!
