A Night of Elegance and Excitement: AEHS Prom 2026
ANKARA, Turkey – Ankara Elementary High School (AEHS) students and faculty transformed their facility into a glitz-and-glory atmosphere of high-stakes fun as students gathered for the highly anticipated Prom 2026. This year’s theme, Casino Royale, brought a sophisticated and vibrant energy to the evening, blending elegance with lively entertainment for students in grades nine through twelve.
Hosted by the Class of 2027 and their dedicated sponsor, Jorge Cabrera, the event showcased months of thoughtful planning and creativity. From the moment students arrived, they were immersed in a casino-inspired setting, complete with stylish décor and engaging activities designed to appeal to everyone. The evening was designed to honor the Class of 2026, the soon-to-be graduates, who were truly the stars of the night.
The success of the evening was ensured by a team of supportive and enthusiastic chaperones, including Assistant Principal Rebel Houston, Art Teacher Aly Manson, Music Teacher Elia Kenney, CTE Teacher Ricardo Taitano, and English Teacher Paris Rhoad. Their presence helped create a safe, welcoming, and spirited environment where students could fully enjoy themselves.
Food was a highlight of the evening, offering a wide variety of options to satisfy every taste. Students enjoyed a delicious spread featuring baked chicken, pasta, schnitzel, fries, fresh salad, and an assortment of olives. The carefully selected menu added to the upscale yet relaxed vibe of the night and ensured no one went hungry.
Music played a central role in maintaining high energy throughout the event. A student-picked (and teacher-approved) playlist kept the dance floor alive, with hits that had students on their feet dancing nearly the entire night. From current favorites to classic crowd-pleasers, the mix reflected the diverse tastes of the AEHS student body and contributed to a lively, inclusive atmosphere.
For those who preferred a quieter pace, there were plenty of alternative activities available. Students could enjoy classic games such as chess and Connect Four or test their luck with Blackjack using colorful Monopoly money. These options allowed everyone to participate in their own way, reinforcing the idea that prom is about shared experiences, not just dancing.
AEHS, as a small international school, prides itself on its close-knit community, and this year’s turnout reflected that spirit. Out of the 51 enrolled high school students invited, an impressive 40 attended, demonstrating strong participation and school pride across all grade levels. The inclusive nature of the event allowed underclassmen to celebrate alongside seniors, strengthening connections across the school.
Ultimately, AEHS Prom 2026 was a resounding success. With its combination of food, fun, music, and meaningful celebration, the evening created lasting memories for all who attended. As the Class of 2026 prepares to graduate, this special night served as a fitting sendoff—one filled with laughter, friendship, and the joy of dancing the night away.
