Many Nations, One School: International Day Celebration
On Saturday April 25, our PTSA proudly hosted International Day, a joyful celebration of the many cultures represented in our school community. The event began with a Parade of Nations, where students and families proudly walked out carrying their country’s flags. Many students and parents wore traditional clothing, creating a colorful and meaningful display of global pride and unity.
Families from all over the world hosted cultural tables, sharing traditions, information, and delicious foods from their home countries. Guests enjoyed tasting a wide variety of dishes, including Uzbekistan’s famous pilav, Italy’s pizza and pasta, Hungary’s goulash, Malaysia’s flavorful fried rice, sweet treats from the USA, and many other wonderful foods from around the world.
The celebration also featured outstanding student performances showcasing traditional fashion, music, and dances from different cultures.
International Day plays an important role in helping students understand and appreciate the diverse world around them. By learning about different countries, traditions, and ways of life, students develop respect for others and a sense of global citizenship. The celebration encourages inclusivity, strengthens community connections, and allows students to take pride in their own heritage while learning from others.
A heartfelt thank‑you to all parents, students, the PTSA, and supporting embassies for helping make International Day such a memorable and successful event for our school community.
